The insulating foil – delivered in rolls – is a protective equipment used in order to avoid the worker’s accidental contact with live electric installations or equipment. The insulating foil is used in LV electrical installations (Un ≤ 1 kV), in dry weather conditions.
The foil is made of PVC / rubber, it is fastened in the electrical installation with plastic pliers or insulating magnets.
Rubber foils (blankets or rolls) are according to CEI 61112, class 0, category A + Z, the rubber being UV-stabilised, for outdoor use, highly flexible and resistant against tearing and perforation.
